X and full stop: ring fingers down

It opens when you pass the check in lesson 15 (C and comma: middle fingers down). Lessons open one at a time, in order.
X sits below S and the full stop sits below L. Both are ring-finger keys, reached by curling down, and both come with the ring finger's usual caveat: it moves with its neighbour unless you ask it not to. Expect the middle finger to dip toward C or the comma at first. Slow down until it stops, then build back up.
The full stop is the key you will press at the end of nearly every sentence for the rest of your life, so it is worth a few hundred clean repetitions now. The spacing rule is the same as the comma: nothing before, one space after. The drills in this lesson end their sentences properly for the first time, though the capital letter that should start the next one has to wait for the Shift key in the next unit.
X is one of the rarer letters, but it hides in useful places: next, six, box, example, exact, extra, expect, text. It nearly always follows E, which is a middle-finger reach upward, so an EX pair is a small dance for the left hand: middle finger up, ring finger down. Feel that as one shape.
