The second hundred words are where the easy part ends. The first hundred are almost all short and many alternate hands; the second hundred include longer words like through, because, between, another and different, with same-finger pairs and one-hand stretches inside them. They are still common enough to be worth knowing as shapes, but the shapes are bigger, and the rhythm has to survive a word that takes seven or eight keystrokes.
The technique is the same as for any long word: read it whole, start it, and keep the eyes moving on to the next word while the hands finish it. What changes is the amount of trust involved. You are letting your hands run a longer sequence unsupervised, and if they are not ready for it they will tell you with an error near the end of the word. When that happens, the fix is to slow down on that word, not on all of them.
The check target rises to twenty-eight. The words in it are drawn from both hundreds, mixed the way real prose mixes them, and the passage is long enough that a single stumble should not decide the result.
